The Bunny Hop Giveaway is coming March 1st to 8th and is hosted by Natural-hair-care-info.com. The Bunny Hop was named after my younger sister - “Bunny”, which is her online nickname. I wanted to do something both different and special for her birthday this March.
We were going to do a giveaway where people would have to guess her real name as giveaway entries, which was her idea and she also came up with the name ‘the Rumpelstiltskin Giveaway’. However, she’s still young so decided against that and that’s when this idea was born.
What is a giveaway hop?”
Simple – Each participating blog hosts a giveaway and then we link up together allowing our followers to hop easily from one giveaway to another.
For followers this means lots of chances to win free prizes. Who doesn’t like free prizes?
For blogs hosting a giveaway it means lots of new visitors.
It’s a win-win!
Each participating blog will host their own giveaway. There is no requirement on the minimum or maximum value of your giveaway. It’s up to you to decide. You can give away books, swags, amazon gift cards, hair products, toys, a new truck, or anything else you can think of . Your giveaway can be as simple or as elaborate as you want.
All participating blogs will be linked up through the Bunny Hop Giveaway linky.
As you prepare your giveaway post please remember the following:
1. Include the linky list with all the participating blogs at the end of your post.
2. Please add the Bunny Hop Image to your blog/sites side bar.
If you have questions, please email me: Naturalhaircareinfo at gmail dot com.
The last day to sign up is February 14th, also known as Valentines Day.
Please email me if you have any questions/concerns. The biggest thing I want to accomplish with this hop is that everyone has fun.
Thanks and sign up below! We'd love to have you!

Our Review:
I wanna thank SomethingAboutSilver.com for picking me to do this review. I LOVE this website! Above all, I have to point out the level of patience, corporation, and care that they showed towards me while we figured the details of this review out.
There are some things I just won’t buy because the people who make it are so rude or difficult, so I love that Something About Silver only has some of the most pleasant people I’ve ever had the opportunity of working with.
They have my full recommendation and I give them ten thumbs up. The necklace they sent is so beautiful. Be sure to check out the website here and let them know that NHCI sent you: SomethingAboutSilver.com
This lady – J.G. – asked me to do a natural hair style that showed off some length, could last at least two to three weeks, and that could easily be maintained on a daily basis.
Despite what I originally thought, all that was no problem at all! Here’s the hairstyle that I came up! Enjoy :D
Because this hair style was going to be extremely difficult to explain, I made a how to video for this hair style instead. Hopefully it’ll all make sense! It’s right below this, enjoy!
WAIT! Before you watch this movie, let it be known by all that I never realized that I man handled my little sisters head like that. She's never mentioned it and it never really accurded to me...*ashamed*
For braiding the hair you’ll need:
As always, I started with clean, detangled, stretched hair.
I will help Bunny maintain this cornrow design by wrapping her hair at night, moisturizing the ends of the braids every morning, and misting the cornrows with a little curl fresher every other day. And that's it!
I really, REALLY hope you love this style J.G. And don't forget, I have to braid Bunny's hair every week or so anyway, so it might as well be something that you want to see! Click here to request a special hair style!
The very first thing people say/notice/think about Bunny and me is that there is no way that we could be sisters because we look very different.
I think it's pretty sad that people don't realize that being black means you can be any color from alabaster to ebony and any color in between. I've always thought as black/African-american as being a race, and not so much a color.
The fact of the matter is that we are biological siblings.
She looks more like our mom - who is dark.
While I look more like my dad - who's fair.
Our noses are different, our mouths, our hair types, our personalities, everything.
I don't know that many sisters that actually look alike and even fewer who act alike. And if they do like the same things they ain't sharing it.
We're very different and that's a good thing, because individuality is something to be celebrated and cherished. A world filled with just me or just you would be a very strange in indeed.
"A Sister is God's way of proving He doesn't want us to walk alone."

We were contacted by a very special company today wanting to sponsor us for the event and these people are so amazing! We are so happy that one of you is going to take home this very awesome prize!
Stay tuned and have a super safe and super fun Halloween!
Sorry that I haven't been doing as much posting as I used to do. It's getting harder to juggle a website, giveaways, a Facebook page, a YouTube channel, product reviews, reading emails, comments, this blog, and such.
By no means am I complaining (you should see how organized I am now!), I love doing this but just wanted to get that out there because some people have been asking about that.
Enough of that, on to the hair 'do!
The Back
The Top
The style took me about two and a half hours and I plan on switching it up a bit. After a few days, I will remove the Bantu knots for a braided mohawk look, then (once the hair starts to get tangled up because I know it will) I will do one Dutch with the loose hair, then who knows after that?
For the complete instructions, check out this post on the website: right here.
Thank you for reading and have a beautiful and safe Halloween from Bunny and me!
Because natural hair is so big, a great way make it lie down a bit and define your curls is to do a twist out.
One of my favorite things about this hairstyle is that Bunny actually did most of the work! She helped with all the twists that she could reach and she took them out the next for a twist out all by herself!
Pretty cool, huh?
For braiding & twisting the hair you’ll need:
To begin, I made a thin part in the front of her hair, about two and half inches thick. After that, I made simple cornrows going straight back. Once I ran out of room to cornrow, I added a pink rubber band soaked in coconut oil.
If you look at the bottom of her twist out, you can see that some of her ends look like a rope twist out while others look a little frizzy. I'm not too worried about that because I know she'll get better with time!
Yet many people say that natural hair isn't versatile. Strange, huh? Well, I beg to differ. Four styles in one week with the same front cornrows.
Plus, Bunny makes an announcement!
P.S. the announcement is that Bunny and our younger brother are going to start making little comedies every week for you all! First one goes life on Monday, please stay tuned for that!
Today is a very big day for my little sister because for the first time ever, she did her own hair! I had to do the twists in the very back, but she definitely did most of the style herself :D
It took her a good three hours to two strand twist the back (I’d done cornrows in the front about two weeks earlier) but she stuck with it the whole time with no complaining!
For twisting the hair you’ll need:
It’s super easy to two strand twist hair. All you have to do is twist one strand around the other one. Once you’ve mastered this hairstyle, you can move onto twist outs, rope twists, and three strand twists!
The coolest part about rope twists is that the twist outs coming out looking like a braid out on locks! It’s pretty cool.
And the coolest thing about three strand twists is that the twist outs come out with a much wider curl pattern than other twist outs.
Thanks for readin'!
