The very first thing people say/notice/think about Bunny and me is that there is no way that we could be sisters because we look very different.
I think it's pretty sad that people don't realize that being black means you can be any color from alabaster to ebony and any color in between. I've always thought as black/African-american as being a race, and not so much a color.
The fact of the matter is that we are biological siblings.
She looks more like our mom - who is dark.
While I look more like my dad - who's fair.
Our noses are different, our mouths, our hair types, our personalities, everything.
I don't know that many sisters that actually look alike and even fewer who act alike. And if they do like the same things they ain't sharing it.
We're very different and that's a good thing, because individuality is something to be celebrated and cherished. A world filled with just me or just you would be a very strange in indeed.

Love your post. I am the oldest of 2 sister and I am the only one who looks different from them. We are all biological sister. I have a cousin who looks exactly like me. I have twins, one is dark skinned and one is light skin. Twin A looks exactly like my mother where I look nothing like my mother lol...It's just family, which is joy ;-)
Beautiful, Dominique-Alexis, and so very true!
I have a niece that looks very much like me and many people have seen her picture and thought I was her mother. What they don's know is that her father is one of my adoptive brothers. So technically we aren't biologically related. It's amazing how many people look at the surface and forget that looks mean nothing. Good post! You and your sister are both beautiful.
Thank you everyone :)
