Braid Out

braid out

I finally washed, conditioned, and detangled Bunny's hair last night! YAY! Her hair feels SOO much better now that the tangles are out and water's been added to it!

Here's what I did:

Removed all beads and rubber bands from her hair and put it into six loose braids, making sure that there was enough room at the roots for her slide her fingers under them so she could scrub her scalp.

After that, she co-washed her hair all by herself with VO5 conditioner.

Lastly, I begin styling, taking one braid out a time, detangling it, then changing each chubby braid into two or three smaller braids. Starting at her roots, I added Beautiful Curls Shea Butter Curl Activating Cream for a leave-in.

What I used

Overall, I am very displeased with how her hair turned out. The problem was that her braids did not dry over night and her hair was still quite damp when we had to leave the house. Bunny really wanted to take the braids out so I did but I wish I'd waited until they'd dried.

The braid out is pretty fuzzy so I had to smooth the top half back with my hands and use bobby pins to clip it back, then added a flower. Her hair smells good and is detangled still. I will probably detangle it again later tonight and put it into cornrows.

It's a cute style, and I really like the flower. It looks better in RL :)
